Spreading Love

"The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of love and of generosity and of goodness. It illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world's busy life and become more interested in people than in things." - Thomas S. Monson  In every part of the world, Christians rejoice as they celebrate the Birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ. At this time of the year, when the clock hits 12 am on December 25, people celebrate. Christmas is considered the season of giving. Share their blessings, kids sing Christmas carols, giving of gifts and etc are the things people do at this time. Charity works also happen. People help those who are sick, needy, hungry homeless and others with specific needs. Here in the Philippines, it has the longest Christmas celebration starting from the first day of September up to December or early January the next here.  Indeed, we are grateful this season as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. We can show our love to our ne...

Human Equilibrium

Image
From the time where kingdoms conquer lands to acquire other kingdoms, to the time where human life becomes modernize, most places are dominated by men. Managing the family, working for the family, making decisions for the family, men always do that. On the other hand, a woman whimpers and keeping her voice quiet after having a hard blow from his husband. Violence Against Women and their Children have always been the problem of society. From physical to psychological abuse, women suffer from men. Gender equality must happen. Other people's rights are deprived, while others gain. We should not let our world to be merely dictated by men. We are equally created. We have our rights. We have our strengths and weaknesses. We must fight for equality. We must not be hypothetical, we must apply it. Being a man does not mean superior and being a woman does not mean inferiority. “A woman's guess is much more accurate than a man's certainty.”― Rudyard Kipling

This deforestation cause many trouble in our world, global temperature increases, sea level rises, landslides occur, air becomes polluted and others. If this top contributor continues to exists it can cause more serious problem. This is the reason why influential people are using their names to reach out other people to help in the conservation of our planet. Let us support their project or we can start our own project for our planet. It is a major concern since November is the Environmental Awareness Month. This month will help us reduce the impact of these environmental disasters and it is also the time for us to learn the effects of disasters . We don't want to experience another Yola...

And in this time, we started to learn things from simple to complex. In childhood, it is also the most crucial time for children as it needs to be taken much attention. In this time, children needs to learn skills and acquire new knowledge to be prepared in the remaining stages of life. This second quarter is all about creating websites using HTML code. In my lower year level I have already started coding. The first code I used is JavaScript. I created fake websites and other stuff using JavaScript. Same with the first quarter, this quarter is a bit of fun and of struggles. I learned so much in coding. I enjoyed this second quarter because of the lesson and activities. Though we cannot have class sometimes because of school activity and program, still we can follow the lesson.  The most exciting part is when you finish the coding and when you view it, it fails to do so. We have to find for the missing character such as: <,/ or >. After all the hardships, it's all worth and satisfying to see your code worked.

Learning is a never ending process. The role of education in our life is very important. It helps us discover things that did not exist before or make our life even better. It makes us curious about how things work in our universe. All of these are important aspect in life but someone or something is hiding beneath these things, our teacher. Our educators paved the way for our success. They help us to achieve our goals and dreams in life. They are one of the contributors of our success. Teachers are the ones who truly help us know more things. Our parents are considered as our first teacher. A teacher sacrifices a lot to provide the knowledge needed by the students. They even sacrifice their rest day/ vacant day just to see us. Even their time on their family is being used in school. They are sacrificing for our good. All of the things that teachers do is for improvement. Truly, teachers are not just teachers. They are our parents, friends, and a love one that must be resp...

Reflection on Our First Grading Period

Image
During the span of the first grading period, I have gained more knowledge and faced problems in this course. This quarter I learned more about the continuing legacy of computer and its affiliates in our daily lives. It helps us to do the task easily and efficiently. The computer age is becoming more advanced. A few years from now we will be seeing new generation computers or high-speed communication devices. On the other hand, I faced many challenges like lots of activities or quizzes not only in ICT 10 but in other subjects also. However, I surpassed them by trying to work hard and trusting my skills and abilities. Looking forward to the next quarter, I am really excited of the lessons and the tasks that we will be doing. I hope more useful knowledge will be implanted into our souls for us to move forward to the future.

Ilocos Sur National High School June 13, 2019 Honorable President Rodrigo Duterte,         Since you made an oath to be the President of the Republic of the Philippines for six years, many things happened or changed. You promised many things to the Filipinos. You were trusted by over 16 million Filipinos to lift them up and to fulfill your promises.      Infrastructure projects came just like the mushroom that sprouts after the rain. Drugs traffickers and user we arrested. Innocent people are killed because of wrong accuse. Even planting of evidence was seen. Families cry not just for their loved on but for justice because of the deadly Oplan Tokhang.          Inflation rate is increasing because of the Excise Tax...

Country Puppeteering

Image
Independence Day celebration is a common practice in the Philippines. For decades, we have been free from foreign invaders. July 12, 1898 is the day of our freedom. Heroes sacrificed their own lives for the freedom of this country. Every 12 th day of June, we see flags from corners. Commemoration of heroes happen. No government or private sectors excused. It is considered a National Holiday. But are we culturally independent? Three countries invaded our country. From the Spaniards to Americans and finally Japanese. Our modern day living is primarily influenced by other countries. Our own identity was mixed with foreign culture. In today’s time, we choose primarily imported things rather than our own products. We patronize more of out of the country matters. And this thinking is called colonial mentality. We are free from colonizers. But we became slaves. We cannot see it directly because it is hiding deep beneath of the country’s identity. For decade we became puppet ...

IM(VICTUS)

I live in the streets of Ora West, Bantay, Ilocos Sur. Living in this kind of neighborhood is pretty interesting. In our family, I am the only one who is currently studying because my siblings were graduates and working in different field. Just like other typical boy, I am also fond of playing online games and spends most of the time facing the computer. Nonetheless, I could still balance my hobby and studies well. Before I play, requirements comes first. My studies is my main priority.
