Learning is a never ending process. The role of education in our life is very important. It helps us discover things that did not exist before or make our life even better. It makes us curious about how things work in our universe. All of these are important aspect in life but someone or something is hiding beneath these things, our teacher.

Our educators paved the way for our success. They help us to achieve our goals and dreams in life. They are one of the contributors of our success. Teachers are the ones who truly help us know more things. Our parents are considered as our first teacher.

A teacher sacrifices a lot to provide the knowledge needed by the students. They even sacrifice their rest day/ vacant day just to see us. Even their time on their family is being used in school. They are sacrificing for our good. All of the things that teachers do is for improvement.

Truly, teachers are not just teachers. They are our parents, friends, and a love one that must be respected because of such willingness to help us grow individually. Teaching is not just teaching but it is imparting of what teachers have to their student.

Teachers must not be forgotten. They should always be in our hearts. Teachers are working not because of salary but his love to the children and to the future generations. Even though these children did not came from her own uterus, she still cares for all.

The foundation day of Ilocos Sur National High School was postponed due to the 2019-nCoV threats and was celebrated on another day. Nevertheless, it was successful day to celebrate our foundation day even on the other day of the month. Parade was done around the city of Vigan headed by the the school employees, and the royal court. After the parade, we showcased our dancing talents through calisthenics and we enjoyed so much and after that we ate as a class and had a salu salo inside the classroom.

Ilocos Sur has been a great destination of tourist because it is where Vigan City is located. And this last week of January to first week of February is the time for the whole Ilocos Sur Province to celebrate its foundation day. Ilocos Sur is a province is the Spanish Colonial Era. Ilocos is a big province during those times. However, a royal decree was released and this decree separates the Ilocos province is into smaller provinces. On February 2 this was formally done and it became Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. Moreover, the festival in Ilocos Sur is Kannawidan which means inheritance and in the Ilocos Norte counterpart is Tan-ok which means greatness. Kannawidan showcases the rich and unique culture of the whole province of Ilocos Sur from the upland to lowland parts of the province.
