The Resiliency of a Filipino

Every year Philippines experiences various disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, volcanic eruption, landslide and others. Casualties Are listed and many infrastructures are destroyed. Even personal properties are washed out.

Philippines experiences these disasters because of its location. It is part of Pacific Ring of Fire in which earthquakes happen and active volcanoes lies. On the western part is eastern part is the Pacific Ocean wherein strong typhoons are formed.

The effects of these disasters are extreme. Philippine government spends a lot of money to prepare for the incoming disaster and to repair the damage it caused.
This month is the National Resilience Month. The NDRRMC disseminates information about disaster preparedness like what to do before, during, and after a disaster.

In addition, the NDRRMC also trains people on how to respond on emergency situations like giving first aid. This program will strengthen the knowledge and skills of Filipinos.

Moreover, if we are ready on these disasters, less casualties and less damage will be the result. The government will spend less money and it will be used in other projects. There will be an economic progress if we are prepared on any disasters.
Truly, if we are prepared we will be the one to benefit. It is better to prepare than to regret. Being ready has no payment but if we disregard it, life could be the payment. Preparedness is a key to success.
