Reflection on Our First Grading Period

Image
During the span of the first grading period, I have gained more knowledge and faced problems in this course. This quarter I learned more about the continuing legacy of computer and its affiliates in our daily lives. It helps us to do the task easily and efficiently. The computer age is becoming more advanced. A few years from now we will be seeing new generation computers or high-speed communication devices. On the other hand, I faced many challenges like lots of activities or quizzes not only in ICT 10 but in other subjects also. However, I surpassed them by trying to work hard and trusting my skills and abilities. Looking forward to the next quarter, I am really excited of the lessons and the tasks that we will be doing. I hope more useful knowledge will be implanted into our souls for us to move forward to the future.

Country Puppeteering

Independence Day celebration is a common practice in the Philippines. For decades, we have been free from foreign invaders. July 12, 1898 is the day of our freedom. Heroes sacrificed their own lives for the freedom of this country. Every 12 th day of June, we see flags from corners. Commemoration of heroes happen. No government or private sectors excused. It is considered a National Holiday. But are we culturally independent? Three countries invaded our country. From the Spaniards to Americans and finally Japanese. Our modern day living is primarily influenced by other countries. Our own identity was mixed with foreign culture. In today’s time, we choose primarily imported things rather than our own products. We patronize more of out of the country matters. And this thinking is called colonial mentality. We are free from colonizers. But we became slaves. We cannot see it directly because it is hiding deep beneath of the country’s identity. For decade we became puppet ...

IM(VICTUS)

I live in the streets of Ora West, Bantay, Ilocos Sur. Living in this kind of neighborhood is pretty interesting. In our family, I am the only one who is currently studying because my siblings were graduates and working in different field. Just like other typical boy, I am also fond of playing online games and spends most of the time facing the computer. Nonetheless, I could still balance my hobby and studies well. Before I play, requirements comes first. My studies is my main priority.
