Pandemic Ka Lang, I am Filipino

Since this Covid19 pandemic begun, many Filipino youth were affected by this invisible enemy. Crowded streets were emptied. Schools filled with students were emptied. Void runs in most of the establishments.

All of us transitioned from the life we were used to be to this new life. As a young Filipino citizen, we are highly affected by this pandemic.

However, we should not feel sad about staying at home because it is for our safety. Staying at home is helpful also since we can have more time with our family. We can bond with the family members. It gives us to reflect on our lives.

This pandemic affected the sector of education. Face to face classes were prohibited. New learning style was introduced. Many people argued about the new teaching method but officials say that learning should be continuous. Injuries and deaths were recorded due to this learning method.

At first, the learning method is hard because we were new to this style of education. As time goes by, we get accustomed to this process of education. In my own opinion, DepEd should not rush the education of my fellow students since we are new to this and some of the given modules are lacking explanation. Lots of errors are seen in the given modules especially the ADM modules.

DepEd should spent more time in checking these modules so that the students will understand well the topics and they will not get confused. Moreover, the printed modules should be processed by a printing press and not by teachers so that they will have time to check modules rather than printing. Teachers should be given rest also.

This pandemic is affecting us dramatically. But, let us have a positive mind that this will end soon. To my fellow Filipino youth, we must pray and hope that everything will go back to the normal. Let us help our country survive this by doing health protocols. We must stay in our homes and be safe.
