Change or change

"Change is coming" that's what Rodrigo Duterte used as a tagline during the elections. Yes, that's true from our own self to the whole world, change roams the world. The only thing that is constant in this world is change. Nothing is permanent. Change must come to our own selves. We must be ready and voluntarily accept this change. Even our world is changing what more on ourselves. This year there are many things I want to change, from small things to big things. And I am hoping it would be successful. Viva Vigan!

The month of January signifies festivity in the city of Vigan especially on 4th week of the month. It is the month of the celebration of the cityhood of Vigan and the celebration of its patron saint, St. Paul. The Festival is called Longganisa Festival. During the colonization of Spanish in Vigan, Vigan is called Ciudad Fernandina because of the Royal Decree issued by King Fernando VI. The city was named Ciudad Fernandina. January 22 was signed a non-working holiday in the city by Pres. Joseph Estrada. It validated that it was a city because of the Royal Decree. And January 25 is the feast day of its patron saint. Many events are organized to showcase the culture of Vigan City such as street dancing that shows the product of Vigan which is Longganisa and Saint Paul. School from elementary up to college joins this competition and not just from Vigan rather from neighboring provinces also join. Another 366 days

The clock hits 12 o'clock and it is New Year time. Another year have past and we are entering to the New Year and New Decade, 2020. It is time for us to give thanks for the past year and past decade. Ever new year, we celebrate by buying 12 fruits that symbolize the 12 Zodiac Signs, we also used firecrackers and fireworks to drive away evil spirits and bad luck. We welcome the New Year as a whole family.  That's how people celebrate ones the earth completes one revolution around the sun. Have a prosperous and happy new year to all!
